We have been playing A LOT of Candy Land at our house lately. After a couple rounds the other day, we were looking for a craft.
We decided to make the Kandy Kastle from the game. For those of you who know how broad and wide my artistic drawing skills are (all-encompassing stickmen)...this was quite a feat!!!
He was SO excited about making it though and wanted to add so many details. I scribbled drew out a "castle" (play along and say you see it...), and he added pompoms and the trail/road of many colors. There is also a chocolate lake and lollipop land (bottom right hand corner...flowers/lollipops).

Anywho - he had a blast and was SO very proud of his castle!!!...as he should be :)!
PS...in the meantime, Laura was helping to s-t-r-e-t-c-h my drawing skills by asking for cars, vans, birds, etc. In turn, my drawings helped s-t-r-e-t-c-h her imagination! :) Sorry...no pics of those dandies...maybe next time ;).

‘There needs to be a homemaker exercising some measure of skill, imagination, creativity, desire to fulfill needs and give pleasure to others in the family.
How precious a thing is the human family…. Does anything come forth without work?
The family is an art form.
And if human relationships are to be beautiful on a wider form,
the individual families making up a society have to be really worked on by someone who understands that
artists have to work to produce their art.”

Nikki - you and your family are a beautiful work of art!
You are getting SO crafty! :)
Love it! And I love that you try and do a drawing instead of having him do something else. That is great!
Is that Lori C above? That little piece about family belongs on a scrapbook page, or framed on a wall. What a great quote.
Yes Leah...that is Lori C... so sweet! And perfect for a scrapbook page!
