In our part of AZ, July seems to be the rainy season. We have monsoons that come in every couple days.
Since we are in the desert and don't get much rain, the ground is very hard and there is a rock bed for drainage in our backyard.
We finally got enough rain one day to make our rock bed a "river"! Nolan was so excited and immediately ran to get his boats so he could play in the rain (very warm rain!).
It dried up quickly, but it sure was fun while it lasted!!
With the rain, we get some beautiful rainbows...
And occasionally a double-rainbow...
The kids think those are the best!
(it was so cloudy, it was hard to get a good picture, but this double rainbow was actually very bright!)

That is so cool and I am so jealous of your rain. It has been so hot and humid here which is pretty unusual for us:(
