On Saturday, we went "up north" to the DeYoung Zoo. It was a blast! It is quite different from your average zoo. It is very "upclose" and hands-on. It was informative, fun, amazing, dusty, and more fun!! We got to feed a hippo, play with a baby monkey, watch them feed the "Big Cats", feed a dingo, pet a hyena, pet zebras and try to catch chickens...just to name a few! They have 10 endangered speices there and about 400 animals total. I sure hope we can make it there again before the snow flies!! *There are LOTS of pictures....this is your warning. BUT, a cute video at the end! ![]() |
