For 4th of July weekend, we took a day and went ...
to the beach!!! My favorite place of all!!!! It was a beautiful, sunny day (although Lake Michigan was FREEZING!!!!).
We played in the sand, ate some snacks and just relaxed.
Since the water was so cold, we went to a little lake after that was right outside the state park. The kids had fun riding around in their little inner tubes (or jetskis, as Nolan calls them).
Look....mom was there too!

After that, we headed to a little spot, PC Junction, for dinner. They have this electric train that runs in front of you and delivers your food and drinks. The kids loved it!
Outside, they had some fun (although a bit "redneck") play equipment. We rode this pedaled bike/buggy thing around first.
Then here is the redneck slide on a cool old truck...
We then drove around the peninsula some more and stopped to take pictures, walk piers, look at boats and just enjoy the glorious weather!
Lazy (although busy) family days like this together are so "sweet"!!!

I totally dig that redneck truck slide! COol! :) I love beach days too...don't let that housework stuff hinder any beach days this month. ;) You gotta treasure our WI summer! :)

Love the pics it's sooo fun to see where you've been and what it looks like! Would of loved to seen the kids at PC Junction...that sounded soo fun!!
