Frosting the Trees

In place of a Gingerbread House this year, we made trees!

Here's the cast of characters we used, but there are sooo many options (and probably cuter, more creative than mine! LOL) :

Sugar ice cream cones, green frosting, Sixlets, coconut, licorice string and Nerds.

Laura, of course, was thrilled about the assortment of "sugar" and tried some right away!

Nolan, on the other hand, got right down to serious business in the decorating department.

Here is Nolan's complete tree.  He was SO proud of it and I was amazed that it kept his attention so long and how detailed he wanted to be.

Then it was time to "eat the trees"! LOL

I really liked this project for their age.  It was fast and yet so many options to make it as detailed as they wanted.
