Well...we actually had a few days of California Winter (rain) while we were visiting. Still not as hard to take as the 18 inches of snow that Frank came home to!! Since the kids couldn't play on the beach, they had to make-do inside ...
yup, dog food!!
Laura played and played and played in it. She also took on the job of feeding their dog, Missy. And she took the job very serious! She would fill the dog dish with about 10 pieces of dog food, let Missy eat most of them, take the dish away, refill it, bring it back to her and repeat...and repeat...and repeat! Missy was usually a good sport about it.
We don't have a dog at home. So, when we got home and the kids were "jonesin'" for sand, Frank filled a sled with sand and put it in our basement for them to play with! I didn't get a picture of it, but found it quite comical!
*Yes, those are holes in Nolan's PJs. Yes, he has spent many Wisconsin winter days in those! He hates to get out of his jammies! haha!!
