Setting: We are riding in the van. (This was back in the fall before Laura was walking well.)
Nolan: Mom, Laura kinda looks like a cow.
Me: What?!
Nolan: Well, she has 2 legs in front and 2 in back.
Me: Laura only has 2 legs.
Nolan: Yes, but when she crawls...if we had a cow costume for her...she'd look just like a cow!

Setting: Eating dessert with Daddy at the table during our April storm. There is a row of cedar trees between our lot line and the neighbors. The cedars have been dying off and falling over lately.
Frank: Looks like another cedar is about to bite the dust.
Nolan: Dad, what's a cedar?
Frank: It is a type of tree.
Nolan: Well, what kind of dust does a cedar bite?

I was laughing so hard when I read about Nolan's sayings, especially the "cow comment" Isaac told me the other day My arms were "jiggley" Oh you just gotta love them.
